Classes

Our weekly sewing classes are designed to help students build confidence, develop sewing skills, and express their creativity in a fun, supportive environment!

Classes are self-paced, allowing each student to progress through projects at their own speed while receiving individualized instruction. With small class sizes of just 5–6 students, everyone has their own sewing machine and workstation, providing plenty of hands-on learning time.

Class Details:

• Schedule: September–May

• Class Length: 1 hour per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 3 hours of instruction per month

• Class Size: 5–6 students

• Curriculum: Progressive, skill-building projects using the Kids Can Sew and Sewciety Kids programs

• Supplies: Students provide their own fabric and project-specific notions, such as elastic. Sewing machines and classroom tools are provided.

Whether your child is brand new to sewing or ready to tackle more challenging projects, our goal is to help them become confident, independent sewists while having fun along the way!

Looking for a little dedicated sewing time? Our Adult Open Sew Studio is the perfect opportunity to work on your projects, learn new skills, and enjoy sewing in a relaxed, supportive environment!

All skill levels are welcome! Whether you're just getting started or have years of sewing experience, you can choose from several curriculum options or bring your own projects to work on. Individualized guidance and instruction are available to help you along the way.

Class Details:

• Schedule: Wednesdays, 9:30–11:00 AM

• Season: September–May

• Skill Level: All levels welcome

• Projects: Choose from available curriculum options or bring your own

• Class Dates: The studio is open most Wednesday mornings. Please refer to the calendar for specific dates.

Ready to take your sewing skills to the next level? Our Adult 4-Week Sewing Session is designed for those who have completed our Learn to Sew Workshop or already have basic sewing machine experience and are ready to tackle more exciting projects!

Over the course of four weeks, students will work at their own pace on projects tailored to their interests and skill levels. Whether you're interested in making clothing, learning new techniques, or building your sewing confidence, our instructors will guide you every step of the way.

With small class sizes and individualized instruction, you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, practice new skills, and create something you can be proud of!

Session Details:

• Schedule: 4 consecutive weeks, meeting once per week

• Class Length: 2 hours per week (8 hours total)

• Skill Level: Beginner and beyond; completion of our Learn to Sew Workshop or equivalent sewing machine experience required

• Projects: Choose from a variety of patterns and projects based on your interests and skill level

• Supplies: Students provide their own fabric, patterns, and project-specific notions. Sewing machines and classroom tools are provided.

• Session Fee: $200

 Learn to Sew Workshops – Kids & Adults

Always wanted to learn how to sew but not sure where to start? Our Learn to Sew Workshops are the perfect introduction to sewing and a great way to get comfortable using a sewing machine!

These beginner-friendly workshops are offered separately for kids and adults, allowing students to learn in an age-appropriate, supportive environment.

Each workshop covers the basic functions of a sewing machine, including threading, operating the machine, and practicing different stitches. Students will also be introduced to essential sewing and garment construction techniques, such as seam allowances, and put their new skills to work creating a simple project to take home!

These workshops can be a stand-alone experience or the first step in your sewing journey! Once you've learned the basics, you'll be ready to explore our weekly sewing classes, Adult 4-Week Sewing Sessions, Adult Open Sew Studio, or a variety of specialty workshops, depending on your age and interests.

• Class Length: 2 hours

• Skill Level: Absolute beginners—no sewing experience required!

• Class Options: Separate workshops offered for kids and adults

• Projects: Learn basic sewing machine skills while completing a beginner-friendly project

• Supplies: All sewing machines, tools, and project supplies are provided
